INFLORESCENCE
: umbel, 1-1.5 cm wide, 3-many-flowered, often turned to side; axis often ± exserted; involucre abortive; pedicels 1-2 mm; flowers becoming recurved

: calyx 4-6 mm, glabrous, tube 10-veined, lobes ± 0.5 mm wide at base, > tube, shortly bristle-tipped; corolla 5-7 mm, pink to pink-purple, 9 filaments fused, 1 free

: legume, indehiscent, but often breaking, short, plump, 4-6 mm, > petals; Seeds 1-2
Misc
: Open, disturbed, moist or dry places, grassy areas near ocean, sometimes serpentine; < 1800 m.
