Habitat: Cracks and crevices of E-facing sandstone outcrop.
Associated Species: Pinus, Juniperus, Quercus, Pseudotsuga
Description: Perennials from compact rhizomes with a mixture of concolorous & bicolorous scales; rachises uniformly villous; leaf blades 3-4 pinnate; costae lacking multiseriate scales; ultimate segments beadlike, densely villous abaxially, sparsely so adaxially; spores +/- 70 microns long.
