Locality: United States, Utah, Garfield, East of Sandy Ranch near ridge, approx. 13.5 miles south/southeast of the SR-24 and Notom road junction

Elevation: 1675 meters Verbatim Elevation: 5490 ft.
Habitat: Flat plateau, dry, open, exposed with only occasional junipers and scattered clumps of Harriman's yucca
Substrate: Red sandy loose to hardened soils
Associated Species: Cryptantha crassisepala var. elachantha, Sphaeralcea parvifolia
Description: Some stems reddish, cespitose, appears to be branching from a root crown
Reproductive Condition: Vegetative
Notes: Only a few solitary plants (not forming patches) observed over a several acre area (so not collected, plus not yet flowering)
