Habitat:
Very rocky with little soil (mostly in cracks and at base of large rocks).
Associated Species:
Most plants finished flowering/fruiting. Sedges (1 common species collected) and several small grasses (collected). Also common: Saxifraga austromontana (few still in bloom - collected), Polemonium viscosum (in fruit); Phacelia sericea (in fruit), Smelowskia (in fruit); several species of Erigeron (vegetative and in fruit); and Silene acaulis (veg. and in fruit).
Description:
Non-rhizomatous. Very short plants with narrow leaves. Glumes < lemmas. 2-3 florets/spikelet.
