Habitat: Soil characteristics: Kureb sand, 0 to 8 percent slopes (20) - very deep, excessively drained, nearly level to sloping soil on broad uplands on the coastal plain formed in marine, aeolian, or fluvial sands. Associate plant species: Croton glandulosus, Croton capitatus, Schizachyrium scoparium var. scoparium, Sorghastrum elliotti, Aristida mohrii, Ipomoea cordatotriloba var. cordatotriloba, Sesbania vesicaria, Liatris gracilis, Liatris tenuifolia, Juncus marginatus, Rhynchospora fascicularis, Cyperus odoratus. Uncommon.
