Notes: Interface between semi-desert grassland and AZ Upland subdivision of Sonoran desertscrub with scattered Pinus edulis, Juniperus monosperma, Dasylirion wheeleri, Agave chrysantha, A. toumeyana var. bella and annuals including Pterostegia drymarioides, Phacelia distans, Amsinckia intermedia, Descurainia obtusa ssp. brevisiliqua; near edge of massive cliff system on rimrock in gravelly soil pockets; flowers purple with whitish banner; ovary sessile, appears semi-bilocular; a few plants locally.
