Description: originally received from W.P.Stockwell as Opuntia vivipara but seems to be Opuntia tetracantha. Plant openly branched, joints purple-tingled, readily detachable, flowers dirty reddish-purple, fruits plump, not tubercalate, 22 to 24 mm long. (RHP May 18, 1939)
