Locality: United States, Utah, Salt Lake, Millcreek Canyon, near mid-Pipeline trail access but on south side of road, just west of Terraces entrance, and near the old FS guard station (now a rest area)

Elevation: 1840 meters Verbatim Elevation: 6040 ft
Habitat: Muddy bank of a pond created via a flood control dam in leaf litter, fully exposed
Associated Species: Symphyotrichum eatonii, Solidago lepida, Typha domingensis, Nasturtium officinale
Description: Creeping plants appearing stoloniferous; tooths of leaves mostly crenate perhaps due to young age
Reproductive Condition: Vegetative
Notes: Limited to a small area at this location; adjoining pond created by the dam dominated by green algae, pondweed and Typha; dozens of Colorado hairstreak butterflies were floating on the water along with many other insects just above/on the algae and pondweed
