Adjoining steep, eroded, disturbed bank in about six closely-spaced, small (2 to 3 meters wide) "breakwater" areas formed by deadwood (from proximate felled Tamarisk trees).
Small amount of Lemna minor; terrestial plants growing on adjoining bank included: Apocynum cannabinum, Salix exigua, Tamarix chinensis, Glycyrrhiza lepidota, Phalaris arundinacea, Rumex sp., Salsola kali and other ruderals.
Floating aquatic, sporocarps not present, mostly green but starting to turn red.
Vegetative
This was a surprising place to find this mostly extirpated aquatic in the Salt Lake valley. Vegetative cover of the area on this side of the river drastically changed between 2011 and 2013. Found only within an overall distance of about 35 meters. Not present on the east side nor west side of the river for a 1+ km distance from this point to the W/SW and not yet found in wetlands on east side of river.
