Habitat: Semi-alkline flat and riparian area with shallow water. Quaternary alluvium surounded by hills of older alluvial gravels, Tertiary volcanic fanglomerate of andesite and chert cobble, and Manix Lake clay and silt sediment.
Associated Species: Distichlis spicata, Heliotropium curassavicum, Anemopsis californica, Atriplex lentiformis, Salix gooddingii, Tamarix ramosissima, Polypogon monspeliensis, Baccharis emoryi, Juncus
Notes: Rhizomatous perennial, locally abundant in shallow water. 75+ plants. Scirpus americanus.
