Description: Enormous variation in plant and leaf size depending on crowding & distance from water accumulation; leaves of larger plants 32-49.5 cm long, 15-27 cm wide, the plants ca 1m tall, the upper leaves of vigorous plants tned to be simple; smaller plants 53 cm tall with leaves 8.5 cm long, 3.5 cm wide; sepals, petals, stamens, & young ovary yellow, the petals slightly brighter; petals 15mm long, the blade broadly obovate; the claw slender.
