Description:
Openly-branched shrub 1.9 m tall, 2 m broad; stems gray-green, glaucous; spines straw-yellow as are the sheaths; flower buds very young; no fruits found.

Grown in cultivation at Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix, AZ. Grown from specimen collected in Mexico by Marc Baker (#8714). Label data based on Baker 8714 data.
