Habitat:
Low wet shaded areas of wooded field margin.
Notes:
Flowers white; irregular woody galls seen on some stems; infrequent shrub to 2 m.; in same area as Bumelia reclinata (see P. J. Barbour 7056) "Buchthorn Bumelia". One duplicate specimen.
