Floodplain. Scattered plants bordering shallow, roughly 100 square meters pool surrounded by nearly impenetrable shrub swamp. Substrate of mucky, siilty clay covered with several cm of decaying leaves and other debris. Moderate shade. Fairly common. With Lemna minor, Clyceria grandis, and scattered Lysimachia terrestris, Cicuta bulbifera, and Calla palustris. Pool surrounded by dense Alnus rugosa along with Ilex verticillata, Vibrunum lentago, Vibrunum trilobum, Calamagrostis canadensis, Onoclea sensibilis, Iris versicolor, Thalictrum dasycarpim, and Solanum dulcamara.
