Habitat: Gently sloping, broad alluvial fan with deep alluvial soils, adjacent W-facing slopes with coarse decomposed granite soil. Flats with scrub of Eriogonum fasciculatum grading into Adenostoma fasciculatum dominated chaparral further up the fan, slopes with more diverse chaparral including Arctostaphylos glauca, Cercocarpus betuloides, Prunus ilicifolia, Rhamnus ilicifolia, Quercus berberidifolia, etc.
Notes: Annual, flowers orange. Locally common.
