Locality: United States, Arizona, Apache, Navajo Indian Reservation; Red Mesa gap; 5.0 miles northeast of Red Mesa Trading Post; north of narrow gap between two mesas.
Verbatim Coordinates: T41N R28E sec 1 NE1/4 of SE1/4
Elevation: 1703 meters Verbatim Elevation: 5590ft
Habitat: North slope sand sheet, sand dune and sand ramp up to the mesa. Eolian deposited deep sandy soils.
Associated Species: Purple sage, sand buckwheat, Culter's ephedra, narrowleaf yucca, sandhill muhly, spike dropseed and giant dropseed plant community.
Preparations: Sheets - 1
