Locality: United States, California, San Diego, Extreme western edge of Otay Mesa is southern San Diego County. Collection site ca. 20m south of SR-905, about 2km west of SR-805. Site access at Otay Mesa Road, ca. 40m to the east.

Elevation: 125 meters Verbatim Elevation: 410ft.
Habitat: Upper end of small canyon. Canyon bottom with Eucalyptus sp., but south-facing, shaded slope supporting high-quality sage scrub. Dominant species include Artemisia californica, Simmondsia chinensis, and Bahiopsis laciniatus.
Notes: Annual herb. Leaves basal and cauline, succulent and with glaucous bloom. Some plants in flower, but many only with developing inflorescences. Hundreds of individuals.
