Habitat: Near bottom of S facing almost barren talus slope on S side of lake above outlet in fine soil and gravel cemented by lichens and mosses; only close associates include Carex perglobosa, Draba crassifolia, Primula parryi, Oxyria digyna, Acomastylis rossii, Festuca sp.; tiny taprooted mat; leaves fleshy thickened; sepals cucullate; petals white, slightly notched, equal to sepals; capsule 3.6 mm long, seeds blackish, 0.7-0.8 mm; ca 10 plants in vicinity, all atypically small.
Associated Species: Carex perglobosa; Draba crassifolia; Primula parryi; Oxyria digyna; Acomastylis rossii; Festuca sp.
