Habitat:
Alluvial slope, desert pavement cut by washes, sandy and gravelly with cobbles; sparse creosote bush scrub. Pavement ± barren, but annuals fairly common along washes.
Associated Species:
Larrea, Ambrosia dum., and a moderate number of annuals.
Description:
Abundant 1-1.5 m shrub, all over alluvial slope; fls. yellow. Common for miles in every direction.
