Description:
Flowers collected afternoon and morning, diameter 31-40 mm, length 49-57 mm; outer perianth yellow-green or bronze with a reddish-brown midstripe at tip; inner perianth pale olive green with a reddish-brown midstripe; thigmotrophic positive, stigma lobe number 4-6, color yellow; filament reddish-brown; ovary/base of flower covered with long reddish-brown glochids; joints gray-green with mature joints gray; spines gray on older joints, tan with golden sheaths on newer; areoles slightly tuberculate, with few spine clusters;
