Habitat: Rocky and gravely summit ridge with much bare soil. Growing from cracks in rock.
Associated Species: Associated with Townsendia rothrockii, Ivesia gordonii, Anemone multifida (in fruit), Polemonium viscosum, Hymenoxys grandiflorum, Potentillia rubricaulis, Oxytropis viscida, Oxytropis podocarpa, Epilobium spp (sdlgs).
Description: Flowers bright yellow. Plants 4-6 in. tall. Full bloom with few just beginning to set fruit. Very Common in summit area, less so along ridge.
Reproductive Condition: Full bloom with few just beginning to set fruit.
