Plants multi-stemmed from large fibrous roots, spreading by short ascending rootstalks, but latter not at all creeping. Flowers pale lavender-pink, of 2 sizes, large ones perfect flowered, smaller with anthers, also, but perhaps not with pollen, pubescence varied, from simple and hirsute, spreading or slightly appressed, to bifurcate or short stellate (4-rayed). Also some plants gglabrous at base.
