Habitat: Soil pocket on open bedrock on slope of canyon in mountainous pine-oak woodland.
Substrate: Stony soil on bedrock.
Associated Species: Juniperus deppeana, Pinus chihuahuana, Pinus strobiformis, Quercus durifolia.
Description: 1.5 - 2.5 dm tall erect herb with yellow centered flowers with 1 or 2 white petals.
