Open Quercus cloud forest with many Orchids, Caci, Bromels. Pinguicula common along path.
Also cultivated Univ. of Wisconsin greenhouses.; Fruit ovoid, the flesh clear and transparent, seeds black. Stems to 3.5-4 meters, long, hanging by the thousands from a huge oak tree.
