Habitat: Grazed desert to open crassicaulis matorral, dominated by Cephalocereus hoppenstedtii and spiny mimosoid legumes, with Yucca periculosa, Beaucarnea gracilis, Achtinocheita fillicina, Juliana adstringens, Jatropha neopauciflora, Malphiga galeottiana, Echniopteris lappula, Lantana velutina.
