Habitat: Mixed herbaceous and shrub wetland with scattered bald-cypress trees, almost completely dry at time of collection.
Associated Species: Growing with Salix nigra, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Hibiscus laevis, Ludwigia palustris, Amaranthus sp., Persicaria hydropiperoides, P. pensylvanica, Phyla lanceolata, Ipomoea lacunosa, Echinochloa sp., Penthorum sedoides, Sesbania herbacea, etc.
Description: Clonal shrub.
Reproductive Condition: sterile
Preparations: Herbarium Sheet 3 of 3.
Notes: At least three larger clones, with stems up to 12 ft. tall and each with several hundred to several thousand stems. Numerous single stems or small colonies scattered between.
