Description:
A guess at what this shrub is. There is a large quantity at this location, in a densely wooded area of VanCortlandt Park just north of the Mosholu Golf Course, most probably an escape from Woodlawn Cemetery immediately to the east. In much of this spot it is so very dense that I suspect it may become invasive. The area covered is just under 0.2 hectares (<0.5 acre).
