Locality: Dominican Republic, Barahona, Dominican Republic: Prov. Barahona. Monteada Nueva Region (peak is Loma Trocha de Pey), S on Cabral-Polo Road, then ca 7.8 km SE on "riverbed road" and turn-off to El Limo and silica mine (open degraded area erroneously reported before as a silver mine). Elev. 1260-1290 m Degraded cloud forest; with Vaccinium racemosum, Lyonia stahlii var. costata, Tibouchina longifolia, Meriania involucrata, Sagraea gracilis, Miconia dodecandra, Calycogonium, Miconia tetrastoma, Mecranium ovatum, Brunellia comocladifolia, Hypoxis, Kyllinga, Phytolacca rivinoides, Arthrostylidium, Huperzia, Lycopodium clavatum, Stelis, Pleurothallis, Dichaea, Cheiroglossa palmata, Ficus, Hieronima, Eupatorium, Bocconia, Eugenia, Lophosoria, Elaphoglossum, Daphnopsis crassifolia, Passiflora, Solanum spp., Cecropia, Oreopanax, Didymopanax, Alsophila, Renealmia, Prestoea. Infrequent. Lat. 18°2'20.1"N Long. 72°57'35.4"W Datum: WGS84.
