Habitat:
Steep slope, with a mesic environment a little later in the year. NNE facing slope has nice large patch of Quercus john-tuckeri, Q. xalvordiana, Juniperus californica, and Pinus monophylla forest. Surrounding terrain was more rolling grassy hills. Small riparian habitat with surface running water halfway down slope. Flat area near where I stopped was dry, with low dry hills above Bitter Creek. Growing along slopes.
