Locality:
United States, California, Los Angeles, Transverse Ranges; Verdugo Mountains region: Northeast side of the range. Unnamed canyon or east branch of Engleheard Canyon. Hiked this creek from just off a dirt road near the mouth to a little way up canyon.; Pasadena & Burbank 7.5From 34.20590, 118.24818 to 34.20117, 118.25262.
Habitat:
Canyon bottom had a small amount of water flowing at this time. Canyon was broad near the mouth with gentle slope on the sides. Nice grove of Quercus agrifolia. Sandy soil that was easy to walk up canyon, because of heavy rains about two years ago flushed out some of the vegetation. Narrow up canyon with a few small waterfalls.

Lilium humboldtii ocellatum, Platanus racemosa, Umbellularia californica, Symphoricarpus mollis, Toxicodendron diversilobum, Ageratina adenophora, Artemisia douglasiana, Carex spissa, Sambucus mexicana, Rhamnus ilicifolia, Marah macrocarpus, Rubus ursinus, Keckiella cordifolia, Solanum douglasii, Anthriscus caucalis, Stellaria media, Cardamine oligosperma, Rosa californica, Pellaea andromedifolia, Polypodium californicum, Dryopteris arguta, Senecio mikanioides, (climbing in the oak trees) Mimulus aurantiacus, Sanicula crassicaulis, Ficus carica, Ulmus parvifolia, Fraxinus uhdei, (latter three, only one or two trees seen) Sonchus oleraceus, Galium aparine, Nicotiana glauca, Bromus diandrus, Vulpia myuros, Piptatherum miliaceum, Boykinia rotundifolia (near the waterfall)
