Habitat: Old road/wash along road, slope 8 degrees facing S22W, coarse granitic sand, Juniper-sagebrush vegetation
Associated Species: Juniperus, Artemisia tridentata, Tetradymia, Bromus rubens, Camissonia, Erodium cicutarium, Pectocarya, Chorizanthe (pink fls.), Gilia, cf. Lepidospartum, Marah macrocarpus, cf. Hemizonia, Ambrosia salsola, Schismus, annual Eriogonum, Nemacladus, Cylindropuntia, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Chaenactis glabriuscula, Loeseliastrum schottii, Atriplex cf. canescens, Acmispon glaber, Stephanomeria cf. pauciflora, Encelia californica, Chorizanthe (white fls.), Uropappus, perennial Poa, Sisymbrium, Calochortus (lavender fls.), cf. Description: Annual, locally abundant, forming a nice blue carpet between shrubs
