Locality: United States, Florida, Alachua, United States: Florida: Alachua County. 3 1/2 miles east of Gainesville. Rt. 20 at Prairie Creek. Roadside, ditches, and cypress swamp. With Sabal minor, Sambucus canadensis, Quercus laurifolia, Boehmeria cylindrica. Herb w/branches ascending to 30cm. Stems hollow, reddish above. Nodes jointed. Stipulate. Lvs to 30mm, glabrous, serrate. Milky latex.
