Habitat: Prairie fen with sedge meadow zone common throughout, wooded fen with many tamaracks (Larix laricina); lots of Frangula alnus. Very long, narrow fen. Split by the headwaters of the Grand River. East side owned by The Nature Conservancy, west side mostly privately owned. Grand River is too deep/silty to cross without use of footbridges. Many zones in fen. Periodic shurbby zones; invasives; Phalaris arundinacea common. Inundated area with significant shrub encroachment; weedy area with Phalaris arundinacea, Leersia oryzoides, Lythrum salicaria, Frangula alnus. Sagittaria latifolia, Carex stricta, Impatiens capensis very common as well; about 5m south of creek.
Description: Flowers -NA.Small, stressed, individuals present in area. Found on wet soil with Carex stricta, Sagittaria latifolia, Impatiens capensis, Leersia oryzoides. Gall present on all individuals.
