Habitat: Lake side prairie fen. Mostly Cyperaceae, Cornus, and button bush dominated marl zone with some Asteraceae and Dasiphora fruticosa near the wooded borders. Invaded by Phragmites, Phalaris arundinacea, and Frangula alnus. In large northern section of fen, 100m north of upland woods, 50m west of wooded eastern border, 15m west of Phragmites zone in area with clumps of royal fern. Area dominated by Cladium mariscoides and Juncus with fern clumps, some Schoenoplectus and Rosa. Ground mostly level and moist.
Description: Population - Dominant in area. Many fruiting or flowering. Co-dominant with Juncus.
