Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Carex lacustris dominated area with Toxicodendron vernix and Larix laricina present. On edge of woodland upland and about 30m south of Munger Road. Most of this portion is flooded and not supporting many prairie fen species. Thin slivers remain on edges. Common species in area include Eutrochium maculatum, Galium asprellum, Caltha palustris, Carex stricta, and Onoclea sensibilis. Ground wet, but not inundated.
