Habitat: Big Bertha pit (molybdenite ore deposit). SE facing slope of 35-45 degrees, cirque.
Reproductive Condition: Flr
Notes: Heterotheca pumila, det. W. A. Weber 1987. / Heterotheca pumila, det. W. A. Weber 1996; Probably a high-altitude microrace of H. villosa sen. lat., characterized by comparatively glabrate foliage and single terminal heads. Originally ID as Heterotheca fulcrata. Garfield quad. Voucher plants for Mt. Aetna Molybdenum study.
