Georeference Remarks: I plotted a point north of Vail Pass in Eagle Co. at 3300 m between the two possible points along the most immediate north of Vail Pass. This was done in conjunction with the collector. The possible range of this specimen location is less than a radius of

Habitat: Open slopes, disturbed site in old burn.

Notes: Heterotheca pumila, det. W. A. Weber 1996; Probably a high-altitude microrace of H. villosa sen. lat., characterized by comparatively glabrate foliage and single terminal heads.
