Habitat: Growing under elm tree next to road in clay soil of volcanic origin; plant branched from base with several almost erect stems.
Reproductive Condition: Flr
Notes: Heterotheca fulcrata, det. by W. A. Weber 1984. / Heterotheca foliosa (Nutt.) Shinners; A fairly distinct race of H. villosa, common in the Colorado Front Range. This has nothing to do with H. fulcrata; det. by W. A. Weber 1996. Originally ID as Heterotheca villosa var. foliosa.
