Habitat: Forested, shrubby talus slopes on canyonsides, west-facing. Crevices of cliff.
Notes: Cheilanthes feei T. Moore, det. James B. Beck (Wichita State Univ.), 2011. 32 spores per sporangium, material removed for DNA extraction.
