In mix of low shrubs and perennials in shallow gravelly-stony clay in bottom of open canyon bottom recently cleared of juniper and many other woody plants, on site underlain by Salmon Peak Limestone. Associates included Aristida sp., Croton dioicus, Heliotropium torreyi, Tiquilia canescens.
