Habitat: Local in periodically wet sandy loam in shallow swale along service road for powerline through coastal prairie on gently undulating upland underlain by Goliad Formation. Associates include Centunculus minimus, Coreopsis tinctoria, Cynodon dactylon, Cyperus acuminatus, Eleocharis sp., Heteranthera limosa, Juncus brachycarpus, J. marginatus, Limnosciadium pumilum, Ludwigia glandulosa, Neptunia lutea, Panicum hians, Paspalum plicatulum, Phalaris caroliniana, Rhynchospora indianolensis, Sisyrinchium minus.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
