Locality: United States, Texas, San Patricio, On Deweyville Formation deposits in valley of Nueces River, Nueces River Ranch, 2.0-2.1 airmiles W to WSW of jct. I-37 and FM 881 SE of Mathis, 0.5 airmiles N of confluence of Nueces River and Sixmile Creek. Mathis Quadrangle. Elev. 95 - 100 ft.

Habitat: Rare on ranch, noted only in this area, in forb-dominated vegetation in pasture on deep well drained sandy loam on gentle upper slopes. Associates include Aphanostephus riddellii, Bouteloua hirsuta, Cenchrus spinifex, Chamaecrista sp., Croton capitatus, C. glandulosus, C. texensis, Chloris verticillata, Cnidoscolus texanus, Cyperus spp., Digitaria cognata, Eragristis secundiflora, E. sessilispica, Eriogonum multiflorum, Florestina tripteris, Froelichia sp., Galactia canescens, Helianthus debilis, Hermannia texana, Heterotheca subaxillaris, Indigofera miniata, Liatris mucronata, Panicum capillarioides, Rhynchosia americana, Sida lindheimeri, Simsia calva, Tephrosia lindheimeri, Thymophylla tenuiloba, Urochloa ciliatissima, Verbesina microptera, Wedelia hispida and Yucca constricta.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
