Locality: United States, Texas, Dimmit, Near the research building and guest houses in management unit 7 ("Headquarters") of the Chaparral Wildlife Management Area.
Habitat: Herb to 18 in. tall, flowers pale purple, occasional. Growing in a bushy savanna and open areas in red, loamy soil with Eragrostis lehmanniana, Prosopis glandulosa, Acleisanthes longiflora, Froehlichia gracilis, Nama hispidum, Nyctaginea capitata, and Cenchrus ciliaris.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
