Habitat: Occasional in small natural ephemeral freshwater pond in depression in grassy sand plain. Pond vegetation dominaated by +/- continuous cover of Eleocharis quadrangulata. Other components include Sagittaria longiloba, Nymphaea elegans, Marsilea sp., Eleocharis cf. palustris, Paspalum lividum, Cyperus articulatus, Panicum hians, Cynodon dactylon and Lycium carolinianum.
Reproductive Condition: fruiting=late
