Habitat: Pine-oak woodland to forest on shadier slopes.
Substrate: Gravelly soils derived from decomposing granitoid rock.
Associated Species: Quercus viminea, Arctostaphylos pungens, Quercus arizonica, Nolina microcarpa, Juniperus deppeana, Pinus ponderosa subsp. arizonica, Pinus engelmannii, Pinus chihuahuana
Description: Collected on hike north and west of camp (El Aserradero, -109.82115, 30.72678) along ridge to north-facing slopes and NE-facing deep ravine.
Notes: Rare.
