Habitat: Sonoran Desert scrub, flat terrace, with small rock piles.
Associated Species: Opuntia engelmannii, Opuntia phaeacantha, Ferocactus wislizeni, Larrea tridentata, Yucca arizonica, Cylindropuntia spinosior, Dasylirion wheeleri.
Description: Rare, two plants on top of broad flat terrace, leaves green, maroon at apices and down margins 3/4 of leaf, with many dead Agave cf. phillipsiana, flower stalk ca 6 m tall, 81 mm in diameter ca 1-3/4 m from ground, inflorescence narrowly paniculate, lateral branches 12+, short, ascending-perpendicular to flower stalk, down 48% of stalk.
