Habitat: Mowed area. Soil characteristics: Kureb sand, 0 to 8 percent slopes (7) - very deep, excessviely drained, sandy soil on undulating, low ridges, knolls and old dunes in coastal lowlands. Classified as occurring as a part of the Sand Pine Scrub Ecological Community. Associate plant species: Vitis rotundifolia, Callicarpa americana, Campis radicans, Setaria parviflora, Sporobolus indicus, Kyllinga pumila, Eragrostis lugens, Sida rhombifolia, Chamaesyce pensylvanica. Uncommon.
