Habitat: NE-SW rocky canyon in pine-oak woodland.
Associated Species: Quercus, Pinus, Acer grandidentatum, Arctostaphylos pungens, Arbutus arizonica, Juniperus deppeana, Toxicodendron radicans, Prunus, Stevia, Hedeoma, Cyperus, Seymeria bipinnatisecta, Aristida ternipes.
Description: Perennial forb with globose tuber; leaves trifoliate, dark green & shiny; single deep pink flower.
Notes: MDE (Madrean Discovery Expedition).
