Associated Species: Lycium, Cercidium microphyllum, Psilostrophe, Ephedra, Larrea tridentata, Encelia farinosa, Carnegiea gigantea, Senna covesii, Ziziphus obtusifolia canescens, Allionia incarnata, Boerhavia erecta, Janusia gracilis.

Description: Frequent locally, upright, branched, stems 15-18 mm wide, flowers 40(l)x32(w) mm, 53x40 mm, 58x31 mm, 40x28 mm, outer perianth rose-maroon with green-maroon midstripes, inner perianth rose-maroon with darker midstripes, filaments maroon, anthers light yellow, style white, stigma lobes light yellow.
