Description: Occasional shrub 1-1/4 m high x 1 m wide, flowers collected 15 April 2010 in DBG propagation: 50(l) x 53(w) mm, 51x42 mm, 58x51 mm (hypanthium 27x25 mm), 57x51 mm (hypanthium 26x22 mm), outer tepals light yellow with maroon mid and apices, inner tepals yellow to light yellow, glossy, with maroon apices, filaments red-maroon, anthers yellow, style light cream-white, stigma lobes light chartreuse, many eaten; flower in propagation collected 13 April 2010 4 pm by Joni Ward: 46x42 mm, outer tepals yellow with wide maroonish or greenish-maroon midstripe, inner tepals yellow, glossy, with a hint of orange, filaments maroon, + thigmotropic, style white, stigma lobes 7, pale green or pale yellow-green; spines tan, golden, reddish-brown, stem greenish-gray.
